• Position: Full Time, Permanent – Senior Tactical Patrol Guard
• Location: Dufferin Mall
• Schedule: Monday to Friday – 7 AM to 3 PM
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Salary: $19 per hour

Qualifications:

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Must be comfortable physically removing unauthorized personnel found trespassing or engaging in criminal acts or breaching the policies. Legally arrest the individual and surrender same to Police as soon as possible.
• Must have a minimum 1 year of Full-time Tactical Security Guard in mall or similar setting
• Must be willing and able to stand, walk, and patrol by foot for long periods (8-12 hours) which also includes Indoor and Outdoor Patrols
• Experience in physical / mall security is considered an asset
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to handle stress and pressure and make a sound decision under duress
• Must demonstrate high attention to detail / observational awareness
• Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence and the ability to work productively and efficiently in a team

Major Responsibilities:

• Ideal entry-level position for a career in Law Enforcement
• Deal with trespassers and unauthorized persons found on the property, in a fair and safe manner, by enforcing the Trespass to Property Act. Making
• Screening unauthorized persons and physically removing unauthorized personnel found trespassing or engaging in criminal acts or breaching the policies. Legally arrest the individual and surrender same to Police as soon as possible.
• Back-up support - respond to calls and provide support as required/needed.
• Maintain compliance with and enforce property standards, rules, and regulations in a reasonable manner
• Maintain the peace, safety, and security of all patrons, and clients on the property
• Respond to all emergency response needs such as providing first aid, missing persons, etc.
• Helping visitors and answering any questions or concerns with exceptional customer service
• Assist with Fire & Life Safety inspections
• Monitor CCTV surveillance systems
• De-escalate emergency/crisis situations
• Maintain a detailed memo book and prepare incident reports on all matters dealt with
• Obtain statements and collect information for Incident
