As a Division Cost Analyst you would be the liaison between Accounting and the Division you support. You would be responsible for reviewing all cost transactions including budgeting, procurement and, month end analysis -- you’ll get to prepare reports to help management make better decisions! To do this job well, we’d like you to be well-versed in data and financial analysis, and have strong attention to detail and customer service focus; ultimately, your job will be an integral part of our efforts to ensure profitability and business success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Divisional budget approvals for procurement, investment, expense and travel related cost transactions
  • Coordinate, develop and input department and divisional investment, expense and project budgets
  • Examine budget estimates for completeness, accuracy and conformance with procedures and policies
  • Generate and analyze expense, project and investment variances
  • Month end functions - SAP journal entries, analysis, results presentation
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, SOX and HCM accounting guidelines, governance and policies

Position Requirements:

  • Demonstrated cost management experience
  • Completed Post-Secondary education in Business, Accounting or Economics or related work experience
  • Experience using SAP or ERP Financial System
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint

Job Related Must Haves:

  • Willing to work overtime as required, sometimes on short notice
  • Willing to work scheduled shutdowns as required
  • Willing to modify pre-booked vacations if required

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Analytical and problem solving experience
  • Experience using SAP software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
