JOB MISSION:
The North America Distribution Analyst serves the region in a critical capacity – responsible for the day-to-day warehouse & distribution activities at our third-party warehouse. The analyst is the point of contact for all 3PL transactions and acts in a support role for the Sales & Operations Team. The analyst will ensure customer orders are shipped in accordance with their Vendor Compliance Manual and will oversee and initiate the request of all delivery appointments for every account.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
OUTBOUND ORDERS
- Manages the 3PL to their outbound service level for pick/pack and cross dock orders.
- Reviews daily outbound pick ticket reports.
- Reviews daily ship file and balances ship file to invoice file
- Communicates pick ticket errors to sales team
- Prepares weekly outbound forecast reports
- Communicates shortage of inventories affecting outbound orders to sales team
3PL MANAGEMENT
- Reviews and codes monthly invoices from the 3PL
- Creates charge backs for service level failure and manages them through to credit realization
- Provides a rolling forecast to the 3PL to allow them to plan for our manpower needs
- Leads the weekly operation review with NB and 3PL management to discuss performance and ongoing projects
- Assists the NB and 3PL IT teams to ensure all data files for picks, shipments and receipts are flowing properly
- Actively works to improve processes with our 3PL to enable the best service for New Balance clients.
RETURNS MANAGEMENT
- Manages the daily activities of the temp staff for returns processing for NB.
- Makes recommendation for increased staffing for special projects when needed.
- Ensures accurate documentation of the returns process to allow temp staff to quickly pick up the process.
- Acts as the Super User for the return’s application used at NB
- Reporting on cost metrics related to the returns process.
INVENTORY
- Reviews and reconciles cycle count reports received from the 3PL, adjusts inventory to ERP as necessary.
- Requests/supervises quality audits on stock as required
- Facilitates the annual physical inventory process and associated inventory updates.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
- Four-year college degree and a minimum of 3-5 years related experience
- Must be knowledgeable of industry, sales channels, the sales process, Customer Service, booking programs, style life cycle management, and product pricing
- Strong analytical mindset & skills, capable of translating complex business processes & data into powerful insights and digestible, actionable reporting
- Strong written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on problem solving, conflicting objectives, and dealing with multiple customers
- Self-starter who takes initiative and delivers results on expected timelines
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and manage time, multiple tasks, and deadlines effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
- Experience with Microsoft D365, o9 and/or Spotfire, a plus
