Interested in being part of our bright future? We are seeking a Kitchen and Closet Designer for our GTA location.
The Designer is responsible for guiding clients through DYMON’s kitchen & closet solutions process from initial inquiry, through to design. Responsibilities include in-home consultation and design for all areas of the home, maintaining an awareness of ever-changing trends and achieving sales targets. The Designer works with clients to assess space, needs and recommend solutions that exceed their expectations and also trains and supports in-store team(s) to service and sell solutions to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and support a culture focused on selling DYMON storage and kitchen/closet solutions.
- Meeting with Guests in their homes to evaluate needs, take measurements, and discuss solutions
- Train in-store team(s) to use design software, educating the team on how best to balance client needs, solution options and closing the sale.
- Present designs and proposal in collaborative in-person meetings
- Secure sale, submit accurate drawings/specifications to the office, follow up with Guests during/post installation
- Lead in-store team(s) and actively participate in achieving specific sales targets and objectives to; capture the market on closet designs, promote the use of installation services, and offer design inspiration to overcome obstacles and offer creative solutions to address closet needs.
- Assist with training In-Home Solutions Consultant as required to support growth in new areas/regions.
- Maintain a database to capture client information and enable follow-up and build a client referral base by nurturing successful relationships with our clients.
- Develop a b2b plan to sell products and services to the new home and condo construction industry for both initial closet design as well as purchaser driven upgrades.
- Develop a relationship with local real estate brokerages to promote vendor upgrades for staging purposes and purchaser renovations.
- Recommend solutions unique to each client (colour, use of space, versatility of the product)
- Attend and promote DYMON closet solutions at trade or promotional events.
You will bring:
- College diploma or University degree in a design or business program
- Background in retail/service industry.
- Design capabilities and exceptional spatial awareness – ability to help the customer communicate their needs and visualize potential solutions
- Direct sales orientated. Computer proficiency with a Windows Operating System, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Training will be provided on closet design software.
- Superior customer service or retail sales experience, with a proven track record of referrals and repeat sales.
- Understands and appreciates the importance of referrals and cultivating relationships.
- Possesses outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid Drivers License - you are given a corporate vehicle.
