Duties and Responsibilities:
The Delivery Associate position is responsible for specific duties including, but not limited to:
- Responsible for daily deliveries serving our business and customers, and giving the best customer service.
- Meeting delivery deadlines.
- Communicating with team members and the operations team for any deliveries and road concerns.
- Responsible for daily truck inspection and filling in the inspection checklist
- Manually loading and unloading flooring products into homes and commercial spaces
- Perform product delivery verification at the customer location and maintain customer invoices
- Conduct routine pre/post-trip truck inspections and maintain accurate records of delivery routes, temperature logs, count sheets, and incident reporting
- Report incidents and accidents while on shift to the operation team.
- Following the best practices for health and safety at all times throughout the shift.
- Other assigned tasks by Management.
Qualifications:
- Have a valid Alberta Class 5 or Class 5 GDL driver's license and *clean driver abstract*
- No driver's license suspensions within the previous five years
- No DUI/DWI within five previous years
- Are physically capable of working 8-9 hours daily and can lift up to 50 lbs
- Are comfortable getting in and out of a truck multiple times a day in all types of weather
- Have proper footwear (there will be lots of free cardio)
- Are reliable and dependable
- Are able to pass a criminal background check
- Have excellent communication skills
- Have reliable transportation to and from the facility.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Supplemental pay types:
- Bonus pay
- Overtime pay
- Tips
Experience:
- Commercial driving: 1 year (preferred)
