Burnaby based Organization is looking to hire 6 Customer Service Representatives to join their team on a 6-month contract, interviewing immediately, starting December 5th, 2022. This position is suitable for candidates with a customer service background, particularly call centre experience.
Location – Burnaby, BC.
Training will take place in the office for the first 3 weeks; after training, work will mostly be remote (strong internet access required with cable in)
Pay Rate – Up to $24/hour

Job Description:
- You will be receiving incoming phone calls and will resolve general questions and provide general information to the public.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct customer service to the public via phones
- Focus is answering calls
- Respond to a high volume of inquiries over the phone
- Provide information and support to applicants, tenants, non-profit societies, co-operatives, community groups, government agencies
- Process and update applications for various programs
- Assists applicants with completion of forms for various programs and explains policies and procedures
- Updates records in various computer databases with applicant information as changes are reports
Job Requirements:
- Strong customer skills and a good phone manner
- Able to work independently, within a metrics based environment
- Prompt and reliable within working hours
- Comfortable with MS Office, software programs, Ability to type minimum 40 words per minute
- Strong oral and written communications skills with solid command of English grammar, punctuation and spelling
- Conflict resolution skills and the ability to demonstrate patience and respect and exercise good judgement when dealing with upset, angry and abusive clients
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Individuals who have a passion to helping others with empathy and support
- Knowledge of affordable housing programs and housing clientele would be an asset
- Ability to work independently, and to contribute and co-operate in a team environment
