Salary: Unionized $34.19. After 6 months $35.57

Shifts: Monday to Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
Skills and Requirements:
- Journeyman Machinist certification or close to obtaining it
- Experience with mill and lathe (manual and programmable)
- Programming and set up experience
- Must have own tools
- Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral)
- Experience with CAM software
- Familiar with machining different materials such as plastics, aluminum, brass, steel, and stainless steel
- Able to edit existing programs and test new ones
- Knowledge and application of all precision measuring devices
- Adept at reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Qualified to coach and mentor an Apprentice
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Mentoring an Apprentice.
- Efficient setup of Mill/Turn, CNC Lathes, and 3 to 5-axis CNC Mills
- Programming machines, loading parts, operating controls, setting offsets, deburring, and inspecting parts
- Interpret drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements
- Detect and adjust equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining as required to ensure the quality of production
- Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and performing basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment
- Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports
- Back up all CNC machines to the company network drive on a regular basis
- Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
