Maersk Warehousing and Distribution USA LLC handles end-to-end warehousing and distribution logistics needs utilizing our strategic network of storage facilities. Our facilities are capable of receiving, storing, processing and dispatching cargo, so we can build flexibility and resilience into the supply chain process. Our integrated solutions allow us to be prepared for supply chain risks, so we can plan distribution to better achieve lead time and goals despite unexpected conditions. Key responsibilities

  • Ensure all equipment is in safe working order and operated in a safe manner
  • Meet requirements as prescribed by Company Policy and all applicable law(s) and statutes
  • Adhere to all applicable procedures including Yard procedures and Port processes
  • Complies with all Transport Canada rules and regulations
  • Complete pre- and post-trip inspections
  • Maintain accurate and legible logs of hours of service

We are looking for

  • Valid Class 1 License with clean abstract
  • Minimum of one year driving experience
  • Previous Port experience is a strong asset
  • Must be a self-starter, reliable must be familiar with the GVRD
  • Successfully pass a truck operator evaluation
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; not required
  • Able to speak, read and write English
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform well with time-sensitive tasks; multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work evenings and overtime may be required
  • May be required to work on holidays and weekends based on operational requirements and port availability
