Position Overview:
Reporting to the Service Supervisor, this individual will support activities associated with repair execution and the Customer Service Commitment. This position will collaborate and consult with the Service Supervisor on the assignment of work.
Our Surrey locations are currently offering an $800 per month attraction and retention incentive for this role. This incentive is being applied on a temporary basis to keep us market competitive with this high demand position. The incentive will be paid out on the second pay period of each month after 1 month employment. Please discuss this incentive with your recruiter if you are selected to move forward in this process.
Job Description:
- Work independently or in a leadership role directing and allocating work for short, mid or long-term jobs or projects
- Ensuring safety standards are maintained, including regular review of JHAs
- Performing customer repair work, with a targeted labour recovery
- For jobs which the Service Supervisor assigns primary responsibility, or those where expertise and intervention may be necessary, instruct others in the performance of their work, manage the quality and quantity of work and review job status during pre-job, mid-job and post-job discussions.
- Train and mentor new employees, crews, apprentices, and ThinkBIG students
- Supporting annual review process and employee development discussions
Qualifications:
- Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification is considered an asset
- Completion, or in the process of completing, Finning S-Level courses
- Computer literate and possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, coupled with outstanding product knowledge
- Leadership skills and the willingness to contribute positively to a quality team environment
- Post-secondary supplementary education and supervisory skills will be assets
- Please note that any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement.
