Job Title: U4 – U6 Grassroots Coach
Location: City of Barrie and surrounding areas
Reports to: Technical Director
Start Date: Mid-April

Background:
The Barrie Soccer Club, established in 1968, is a not-for-profit organization that serves over
2,500 members. Our Club mission is to provide our members with an opportunity to enhance
their appreciation of the game of soccer through a commitment to player development. We will
support this by promoting physical, social and technical development, with an emphasis on
team spirit, sportsmanship, and respect.
Position Summary:
- Oversee and organize weekly training plans and sessions for the Recreational Pathway
for ages 4-6 years
- Attend multiple training sessions on different nights of the week (may include
weekends)
- Create a fun, safe and physically active environment for all players
- Follow the club’s technical curriculum outlined by the House League Manager and
Technical Director
- Work with the Club Technical Director to ensure the player development plan is being
executed

Qualifications:
- LTPD (Long-Term Player Development) courses such as Active Start
- Standard First Aid
- Making Headway
- Safe Sport Training
- Respect in Soccer
- Making Ethical Decisions
- Criminal Record Check (CRC)
