Job Summary:
This role will report to and support the Site Supervisor, taking the lead for on-site activities and ensuring the completion of each project on time and budget with high-quality standards. The Assistant Site Supervisor will contribute to building a site team and work collaboratively with other key team members.
Key Accountabilities:
- Help create daily, weekly, and monthly construction schedules that achieve the project completion timeline within labor budget parameters.
- Supervising, coordinating, and scheduling the day-to-day activities of all crew.
- Enforce best building practices with a hands-on tools approach.
- Leads, teaches, and mentors the crews to achieve high excellence in performance and quality.
- Manages and monitors crews and sub-contractors.
- Meets construction budget by monitoring project expenditures for weekly labor, equipment, and materials; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.
- Accomplishes project results by calculating resources required; establishing standards and protocols; allocating resources; scheduling and coordinating staff and sub-contractors; evaluating milestone assumptions and conclusions; resolving design problems; evaluating and implementing change orders.
- Achieves construction quality standards by conducting daily inspections and taking corrective action as required.
- Prevents fines and interruptions by complying with, and enforcing, codes.
- Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
- Resolving work challenges and recommending measures to improve productivity and quality.
- Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Essential Requirements:
- 7-10 + years experience in relation to large ground-up construction projects.
