An exciting opportunity exists to work in 311 Operations, which is the primary point of contact for the public requesting information about or access to services provided by The City of Calgary. As a Customer Contact Representative, you will provide a high level of customer service while working in a 24/7 environment. Primary duties include:

Thoroughly and accurately document all citizen inquiries regarding municipal and non-municipal services.

Handle complaints and hot topics.

You will manage incoming citizen requests for service/information.

Liaise with and provide referrals and direct transfers to municipal and non-municipal services.

Interpret City policies and standards.
Qualifications

A High School diploma or equivalency (e.g. GED).

At least 4 years of experience in the delivery of high level customer service.

Previous 311 Call Centre experience will be considered an asset.

Basic knowledge and experience in using Windows and Windows-based applications (such as Microsoft Office Word, Outlook and Excel) is required.

Success in this position requires exceptional customer service, strong analysis, and effective judgement and communication skills.

Compensation: Pay Grade 6 $31.30 - 41.86 per hour (2023 rates)
Days of Work: This positions works in a 24/7 environment, shifts include
daytime, evenings, overnight, weekends, and statutory holidays.
Hours of work: This is an on-call position with no guaranteed
hours of work. Shifts will vary and are based upon operational needs.
