Are you a 2nd or 3rd year Automotive Apprentice? Do you have a strong background in general vehicle maintenance and enjoy working with a high energy team in a retail shop environment? Kelowna Chrysler is looking to build a team of driven automotive professionals who are excited to work hard and grow with the dealership.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performing repairs, preventive maintenance checks and warranty service on electrical components, suspensions, exhaust, brakes, drivelines, tires and all other aspects of the vehicle.
• Completing work in a timely, safe and efficient manner, ensuring that any work and diagnostics are completed correctly the first time.
• Recommend repair work based on your opinion upon review of the vehicle, to ensure safety of the unit, the operator and the public.
• Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
• Advise Service Advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised.
• Keep the shop area neat, clean, and free of safety hazards.
• Ensure that customers’ cars are kept clean.
• Attend factory-sponsored training classes. Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Currently working on level 2, 3 or 4 of apprenticeship training
• A valid British Columbia driver’s license, with clean driver's abstract
• Be available to work shift Saturdays.
• Possess strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to ensure delivery of high-quality work.
• A highly self-motivated and organized individual.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills to effectively work with other members of the Service Department team.
• Ability to excel in a physical environment and comfortable lifting 50lbs at shoulder height.

Salary: $24.00-$31.00 per hour
